Plug-In BC recently shared links to a trio of tools to support the EV Community. While experienced drivers will be familiar with most of them, they’re a great help to new EV owners.

Plugshare has been around for years and is one of the most popular and reliable places to find both the location and availability of public charging stations. In addition to finding a place to charge, the app indicates when a station is in-use and provide details about activation, power levels, etc. 

Your free Plugshare account also allows you to designate “your vehicle”  so you can filter charging stations based on what your EV can use.

A Better Route Planner is just what its name implies and lets you select your specific EV and simulate trips. It accounts for elevation changes, road conditions, temperature, extra weight and more.

Geotab’s EV Battery Degradation Tool i something you’ll use less often, but remains an essential tool in owner maintenance. 

Geotab studied battery health of thousands of electric vehicles using on-board trackers and turned that information into a tool that lets you the battery degradation of your EV
