We are days away from Tesla unveiling another vehicle destined to shake the legacy auto manufacturers to their core.
Elon Musk began hyping the vehicle this week, dubbing it his “Cyberpunk” truck and “Tesla’s best product ever”. He also suggested a launch price of $49,000 (US).
That’s a direct shot across the bow of Ford whose market share is dominated by the similarly priced F-150 Pick-up.
It is believed that the Tesla Pick-Up will have battery sizes between 150-200 kWh, which should give the truck a range of about 400 – 500 miles per charge. (600-800 km)
Industry watchers estimate that the vehicle will feature a 20,000-30,000-lb towing capacity and will have sub 3 second 0-60 acceleration and 800 – 1000 in horsepower surpassing soon to be competitor Rivian.
