Tesla About To Become Your Dog’s Best Friend

There’s little that’s more fun for your dog than hitting the road with you and Tesla is about to address one of the biggest worries for dog owners when their pooch is along for the ride.

Although Tesla introduced “Cabin Overheat Protection” in 2016 specifically to protect children and pets, it did not include an extension designed to alert passers-by that an onboard animal is comfortable despite being alone in the car on a hot day.

The new “dog mode” will feature a display visible to those outside stating the internal temperature of the car along with a message that the dog is okay and does not need rescuing. The display might also indicate that the animal has music to keep it company, perhaps that its even listening to “Steely Dan” to indicate that its especially cool.
