Of Local Interest — Week of October 28th

• A mid Island group of 16 EV advocates met in Parksville on Sunday the 27th with the intention of forming a Mid-Island EV Club. Representatives from the VEVC attended to provide support and information. Next meeting is Saturday Nov 16 at Harris Kia in Nanaimo. Time TBA.
• The Petro-Canada twin DCFCs on Terminal Avenue in Nanaimo are up and running. Construction at the Elk Lake Petro-Canada on the Pat Bay Highway will begin shortly.
•  If you have friends or family driving 2017 – 2019 Subaru Imprezas or Crosstreks, let them know the time to change to an EV might be now. The company has just released recalls for 228,000 of these vehicles which may require full engine replacement.
