Of Local Interest — Week of October 21st…

This is the first post of a new feature on this website. Local news for the local drivers who comprise the bulk of the Victoria Electric Vehicle Club.

The Club will be providing input to the Government on the issue of getting access to EV charging in multiple unit buildings. If you have a story about the success or failure in getting an EV charger in your building, please help us out by sharing it. All names and locations with be redacted. New DCFC units are going in. Two have now opened in the Saanich Plaza (across Blanshard Street from City hall) and 2 at the current Colwood DCFC site are under construction. BC Hydro advises that you will need a Flo card or to sign up for a Hydro card to use them and that Greenlots cards and fobs will not work at this time.

John Graham of Graham KIA retired to celebrate his 50th birthday. He and his brother Al have sold Graham Kia to Brad Ostermann, formerly of Campus Nissan. John was much appreciated as an early supporter of the VEVC and we know the dealership remains in friendly hands as Brad has been a passionate advocate of zero-emission vehicles.
