Federal Government Supports Petro-Canada Charging Network

The federal government has announced a $4.6 million investment in Petro-Canada’s coast-to-coast EV charging network.

The funding will help expand Petro-Canada’s previously announced roll-out of 50 fast chargers to a total of 92 in the coming months.

Natural Resources Canada is funding the project as part of its ‘Electric Vehicle and Alternative Fuel Infrastructure Deployment Initiative,’ a part of the Government’s $180 billion Investing in Canada infrastructure plan.

All the chargers will feature both CHAdeMO and CCS/SAE ports that are capable of providing up to a 200kw charge.
