EVs And Rural BC

It’s been a few years since Salt Spring Island declared itself the EV Capital of Canada. And despite the rapid growth since then of electric vehicle ownership on Vancouver Island and the lower mainland, there’s still a perception out there that EVs garner limited interest on the vast interior of British Columbia.

This week an investigative team from the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation’s flagship news show “The National” travelled to some of those “remote” rural communities to discover that there’s a lot more interest than they expected.
