There’s just so much EV news this week…
Let’s roll through it in easy to digest bullet points:
- The VicEVA exploration of Nissan Leaf battery replacement stories can be found here: https://victoriaevclub.com/
- BC Hydro has invited EV owners in British Columbia to a virtual engagement session to learn about their plan to introduce rates for charging at public EV fast charging stations. If you’re interested in attending, please register by Friday December 4th here:
- This year’s Christmas Festival of Lights parade has, unfortunately, been cancelled. In order to help one of the charities which benefits from this annual event, the VicEVA Board is donating our $250 entry fee to “The Rainbow Kitchen”, who provide hot nutritious meals daily to those in need in our community. Members who would like to add to that donation, are requested to make a private donation here: https://rainbowkitchen.ca/
- At their November 16 meeting, Saanich Council unanimously approved the Electric Mobility Strategy many of you assisted in developing. The strategy is intended to accelerate the uptake of EVs in our community. The Final E-Mobility Strategy can be found here:
Finally, this weekend’s Zoom Coffee Chat promises to be equally full of information. We’ll be taking your questions on Leaf replacement batteries, updating what’s happening with the current Kona recall and host a special presentation from Doug Beckett of the Prince George Electric Vehicle Association (PG EVA).
