Given the breaking senior staff scandal and RCMP investigation roiling the BC Legislature on Tuesday, most of the media attending the ZEV announcement spent their time asking questions about that issue. One brave soul, however, questioned the support of Hydrogen powered cars in the government’s climate plan asking if the production and use of hydrogen fuel would increase BC’s Greenhouse gas emissions.
Premier Horgan gave a one word answer — “No”. Clearly indicating there would be no further discussion.
Seriously? None? Zero? Nothing at any stage of the production, transportation or fuel distribution process?
Maybe in addition to championing the benefits of electric cars, we also need to be presenting an honest comparison of electric cars and those powered by a hydrogen fuel cell.
So here it is…
