Electric Vehicle Extravaganza at Earth Day 2017
Yesterday’s Earth Day was an absolute success! Creatively United for the Planet’s annual United Sustainability Showcase on Earth Day was held at the Royal BC Museum in downtown Victoria Saturday.
Motorize Auto Direct led the Electric Vehicle & Bike Extravaganza outside the museum by displaying many makes of electric cars, electric motorcycles and bikes. Together with Emotive BC, Motorize provided test drives in electric cars.
The Victoria EV Club was there welcoming the thousands of people into the event with a Tesla Models X and S and answering questions about EVs.
Tesla Tours‘s Model S “Big Red” was onsite. Tesla Tours is a Victoria-based company that gives personally guided solar-powered tours in and around Victoria, BC.
TeslaXCanada recently returned from their cross Canada trip in an electric car with camping trailer, gave a presentation and displayed their Model X and trailer.
Bolt Across Canada‘s Buddy Boyd and Barbara Hetherington were there with their all electric-Chevrolet Bolt. They will be setting out on a cross Canada Zero Waste trip from Victoria BC to Newfoundland as they launch a low impact road trip across Canada visiting communities along the way to promote Zero Waste and zero emission transportation.
And inside the museum were interactive displays, art and music. Panels and Workshops showcased local singers, storytellers, novelists, leaders, photographers and more.
