CONGRATULATIONS VICTORIA LEAF CLUB

Friday night’s “Return of the Electric Car” was an overwhelming success. More than 6000 people attended the game and spent time learning about EVs and visiting the many exhibits placed around the Save-On-Foods Memorial Arena concourse.

We’ve been told that Victoria Mayor Dean Fortin, who was at the game, was particularly impressed by what he saw. And several of the EV dealers present felt certain they had garnered multiple sales of their cars. In addition, it appears that the arena may soon be operating their own electric Zamboni and will be placing a couple of charging stations in the parking lot.

The Victoria Leaf Club has already been invited back for next year with the promise that we can make the VLC’s next electric car night even bigger and better.

We couldn’t have had anywhere the success we had without all the help we got from Leaf Club volunteers and members alike. You purchased or sold hundreds of tickets, far more than Fred or I ever imagined we would and got the EV message out to thousands of people who’ve never before encountered an electric car.

Thanks again to every VLC member, EV dealership and our exhibitors for your help and support. If you have photos or videos or a special moment you want to share from the night, please send them along to this website as soon as you can, so we can give the members who couldn’t make it a sense of what a special evening it was.

Thanks again. We couldn’t have done it without you.
