Canadian Q1 EV Sales Increase Market Share

Despite an understandable dip in numbers due to the Pandemic lockdown, Canadian EV Sales for the first Quarter of 2020 still increased their market share.

According to data published by Electric Autonomy Canada, the January through March period saw sales of 8,412 battery-electric and 3,586 plug-in hybrid vehicles. This represented a 3.8% share of all light-duty cars and trucks sold in the country.

That is also a massive increase over the Q1 figures for 2019 when ZEVs accounted for only 1.89% of total light-duty vehicle sales.
