Victoria LEAF CLub

Oak Bay Antique Car Show Report

Sunday August the 5th, 2012

By Manfred Wissemann

The Victoria LEAF Club team answered many questions fielded by hundreds of the 15000 visitors in attendance.

The questions people wanted to have answered most: How far can you go on one charge?  How long will the batteries last? How much time does the car take to charge and how much is the LEAF?

Most people were satisfied with the LEAF's range. People also realized the replacement batteries would be much less then the depreciation of similar priced gas cars. They understood the savings in gas and maintenance.

People were most surprised to learn on how  little it costs to drive the car for a month and how many free charging stations are in place already.  They really liked the Leaf's GPS system that could guide them to the next charging stations. The comforts of the LEAF were very much appreciated.

We should see an increase in LEAF electric car ownership as a result of the

VLC's hard work at the Oak Bay antique car show.
